Côr Newyddion Da (the Good News Choir) will be performing a Christmas concert in Saundersfoot this weekend to raise funds for Wales Air Ambulance.

Since 1994, the Pembrokeshire based choir has thrilled audiences not only in Wales, but throughout the UK and overseas.

Marilyn Lewis is the choir's musical director and her enthusiasm has led them to win an incredible total of 27 young national titles and eight national titles. As a result, the choir is regularly recognised as one of finest Welsh youth choirs.

"All of our supporters and volunteers are excited about this concert," said Mike Ashbridge, the Wales Air Ambulance co-ordinator in Pembrokeshire.

"Not only does this choir always produce a fantastic performance, but in addition, we have a special guest artist, the solo violinist, Lily Whitehurst. This is a night not to be missed!"

The concert takes place at Thomas Memorial Congregational Church in Saundersfoot at 7 pm on Sunday, December 7. Tickets are £5 (including refreshments) and can be bought at the door or in advance through Mike on 07810 305542. Proceeds from the concert will be shared by Wales Air Ambulance and the Thomas Memorial Congregational Church.
