John Davies, paid tribute to the efforts of local students and teachers. "These results underline the commitment of the local authority, along with all within the education community in Pembrokeshire, to improve the opportunities of all our young people in Pembrokeshire. "What greater investment can a local authority make than invest in its education service to this extent." Clr. Islwyn Howells, cabinet member for children, young people and Welsh language, said: "I would like to congratulate the pupils and staff in our eight secondary schools for their commitment and dedication. "I would also like to express our appreciation to the parents for their support of their children over the two years of the course. "The schools and the local authority have always worked very closely together, and we are continuously seeking to improve opportunities for young people."
