The countdown is on to the Saundersfoot Harbourside Christmas Carol Concert next Thursday, December 22.

The concert, in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust, is to take place on the decked area beside the harbour Christmas tree at 6.30 pm, but in the event of inclement weather, it will move to the Sailing Club function room, with the overflow occupying the area outside.

The programme of events for the evening includes performances by The Quaynotes Choir, James Hinchliffe and The Wiseman’s Bridge Rowing Club Choir, together with a ‘unique rendition’ of Jingle Bells by a Butcher’s Shop Quartet!

There will also be community singing led by The Quaynotes Choir, Alwen Hughes and Susan McKehon, together with a Best Dressed Father Christmas Competition, with prizes for first (tickets to Folly Farm), second (tickets to Manor House Wildlife Park) and third (a Thorntons Chocolate Santa) being awarded by Charlie Shivers.

The evening will conclude with the drawing of the Grand Christmas Raffle in the comfort of the Saundersfoot Sailing Club function room, where there will be tea, coffee, a bar and a free mince pie for everyone. Charlie will be helping with the drawing of the prize-winning raffle tickets prior to his next official engagement which will be officiating at the Saundersfoot 2017 New Year’s Day Swim.

Thanks go to the following individuals and organisations for their donations to the raffle: County Financial Services, Football Association of Wales, Giltar Hotel, Scarlets, Royal Mint, Sam and Daisy Coleman, St. Bride’s Spa Hotel, National Express, Carew Inn, Tesco, Penally Abbey, Manor House Wildlife Park, Glamorgan Cricket Club, WRU, The Boat House, Heatherton, Dragon Palace, Mermaid Gift Shop, Ocean Hair, Torch Theatre, Vue Cinema, Upton Farm, Tojaz, Silver Lily, Carew FC, Blue Lagoon, Labels for Less, Christkindle, Heywoods, Rachel Knox, Sandra John, Jill and John Donnachie and Bill and Marilyn Carne, together with Folly Farm who have kindly donated the first prize for the Best Dressed Father Christmas Competition.
