Councillors in Whitland have voiced their concerns over the increase of vandalism occurring in and around the town.
The matter was raised at January’s meeting of Whitland Town Council, with the clerk stating that a telephone call had been received from Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to an incident prior to Christmas when the public toilets were vandalised.
The PCSO who has been assigned the incident had been on leave over the Christmas period and had now returned to work, councillors were told.
The Clerk advised police that the Council wished to pursue the matter and, as agreed at the December meeting, the Council request that a youth restorative disposal be considered.
The Town Council is concerned regarding the increase of minor acts of vandalism that are occurring in and around Whitland, with the police to be informed of any further incidents as and when they occur.
