Following the end of this summer’s pedestrianisation scheme in Tenby last Friday, local councillors are being asked to garner their thoughts on how the 2018 scheme went.
Experimental changes to the start and finish dates of the scheme were made this year by Pembrokeshire County Council to take in the Long Course Weekend and Ironman Wales events taking place in the town.
Under an ‘Experimental Amendment’ to the Tenby Prohibition Order the start of the scheme coincided with the first Monday in July, with the finish being the second Friday in September.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of Tenby Town Council the town clerk, Andrew Davies, told members that PCC would be holding a consultation starting next week on how the 2018 experimental order went. He asked councillors to ‘get their thinking caps on’ to present their views on how they felt the extended period worked.
