A town councillor has responded to a letter in a recent edition of the Observer from a local resident who complained about the council's upkeep of the memorial garden to the late Denzil Griffiths which overlooks the North Beach. "The grass has now been cut and is back to the way it was when opened," said Deputy Mayor, Clr. Mrs Tish Rossiter, at Tuesday evening's meeting. "I attended the opening of the garden and the unveiling of Denzil's plaque along with Clr. Mrs. Lane, and I can also assure the person who wrote this letter that we personally paid for the refreshments at the reception ourselves," she added.
