Tenby Town Council have begun the procedure to fill four vacancies in the council chamber.
The town council lost three members recently, with Clr. Mrs. Julie Evans, Clr. Mrs. Sandra Williams and Clr. David Morgan not putting their names forward for re-election, and Clr. David Stock leaving his post last year.
At Tuesday night's meeting of the council, members signed the declaration of office, while Clr. Trevor Hallett was also appointed as Mayor and chairman of the council for 2012/13.
The town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, told members that he would be placing an advertisement in the local press for the vacant positions, three of which were in Tenby North Ward and one in Tenby South Ward.
Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter hoped the vacancies would present the opportunity for locals to step forward for consideration.
"This gives everybody a chance now that may have been frightened off by an election to put their money where their mouth is and stand to be on the town council," she stated.
