Tenby councillors have given their support to a request from the Walled Town Residents Association to Pembrokeshire County Council, to consider the introduction of selected lengths of single yellow lines on three streets in the town.
A letter from the county council's traffic manager, Mr. John Price, outlining the proposals, was brought before Tuesday night's meeting of the town council.
The introduction of the lines would define no waiting from 8.30 to 5 pm, between April 1 and September, allowing for overnight parking in the summer and unrestricted parking in the winter, on Bridge, Crackwell and St. Mary's Streets.
Councillors, however, were against the idea of the lines being brought in on an area of the Paragon.
