Tenby Town Council has recommended approval of a planning application that will see the town's Scout and Guide Hall at Warren Street rebuilt. As well as a purpose-built hall on the ground floor, the proposed development includes 10 one and two-bedroom flats on the first and second floors. When discussing the application for the 80-year-old hall at Tuesday night's meeting of the council, Clr. Mrs. Kerri Durham was one of those who welcomed the proposal, but also had concerns over the car parking situation. "We most definitely welcome the plan to re-develop the hall, as the Scout and Guide movement has waited a long time for something positive to be done about their site, but we are concerned about the car parking situation and have taken on board the views of neighbouring residents," she said. The plans for the scheme, which have been submitted by GKV Developments, will now go before Pembrokeshire Coast National Park's development management committee at their meeting in January.
