Local councillors gave a unanimous thumbs up to new plans for Tenby's Scout and Guide Hall, when the application was brought before them at Tuesday evening's meeting of the town council. The new application submitted by GKV Developments Ltd to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is for six residential flats over a new hall on the existing site in Warren Street. Previously, National Park planners turned down the original plans for the development due to parking issues. When discussing the new plans on Tuesday evening, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown said: "I thought the original set of plans were absolutely brilliant anyway, so hopefully these amended plans will be approved this time by the National Park." Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter concurred with her colleague: "It's a much-needed facility for Tenby which we must encourage for the town's youngsters," she said. Councillors unanimously approved the application which is set to be considered by the Park's development management committee next month.
