The marriage of Matthew James and Ceri Sinkins took place recently at the Parish Church of Llanblethian, Cowbridge. Matthew, the eldest son of Basil and Mary James, of Cosheston, and Ceri, the youngest daughter of Brian and Avril Sinkins, of Llanblethian, Cowbridge, are both teachers at Millfield Preparatory School, Glastonbury, Somerset.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride looked beautiful in an ivory pure silk duchess satin gown with satin chiffon overlay, designed and made by Bobby Sharpe, of Glastonbury.
The two bridesmaids, Lisa and Julie, the bride's sisters, also looked beautiful in pale lilac gowns and they and the bride carried tied bouquets of white roses and lilac freesia.
The best man was Mark McKnight, groom's best friend, and the groomsmen were Nicholas James and Gethin Sinkins, brothers of the groom and bride.
The groom and the gentlemen of the wedding party wore Edwardian frock coats and accessories.
The service was conducted by the parish priest, Canon Rev. Derek Belcher, who was assisted by Canon Rev. Geoffrey Gwyther, uncle of the groom. During the service, friends of the bride and groom read Bible readings and sang.
The reception was held at the Bear Hotel, Cowbridge. Relatives and friends travelled from Lesotho in Southern Africa and Holland to join the happy couple celebrate.
Following a honeymoon on the west coast of Mexico, the couple have made their home in Glastonbury.
