Winning the Welsh Assembly election, a quadrupling of income and an increase in membership subscriptions were all celebrated by the local Conservative Association at its annual general meeting. Forty members of the Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire Conservative Association attended the meeting in Narberth's Queen's Hall. They were addressed by Angela Burns AM and Nick Ramsay AM, Shadow Minister for local government, who spoke about the importance of the upcoming council elections. Pembrokeshire's two Conservative Associations are contesting half of the council seats this year - the most ever. The gathering was also addressed by parliamentary candidate Simon Hart, who said: "We saw last May that there is a real feeling in the area that a change is needed and that the current Government has nothing left to offer."
