A LETTER of congratulations is to be sent by Tenby Town Council to Tenby Round Tabler, Carl Evans, who has been installed as Area 43's new chairman. A former harbourmaster in the resort, Carl, now a rescue co-ordination centre manager for HM Coastguard, is only the third member of Tenby Round Table to be appointed chairman, the last one being 30 years ago. "It will be a great honour for Carl and I am sure councillors will send him their congratulations," said Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane. "I am sure he will be a very worthy chairman of Area 43 and I think we should wish him every success," she said at Tuesday's council meeting. Clr. Mrs. Lane was presented with a pennant from Carl commemorating his year in office, as well as one from outgoing chairman Ralph Rees, of Milford Haven.
