Sir, I would like to bring to the attention of the authorities concerned, such as the police or the council, the speed at which some drivers travel through the village of New Hedges. The speed of some cars coming down from the Saundersfoot direction has to be seen to be believed. If traffic coming from Tenby has a clear road, with no oncoming traffic, they are already doing 50 mph or more when they pass the 30 mph sign. The worst offenders are the young women, who always drive too fast. Next are the buses, which I find very frightening while walking up the hill towards Saundersfoot. Then the young hoons followed while walking up the hill towards Saundersfoot. Then the young hoons, followed by just about everybody else. The white vans delivering whatever, of course, go too fast; they always do wherever you are. They are in such a hurry.

I have written twice to the police inspector at Haverfordwest, but to no avail.

Some time ago, two of those rubber pipes were put across the road close to the New Hedges Tavern. I think they count the amount of vehicles passing over them. Since then, nothing has been done. Why has this police inspector done nothing? Where is the police presence in New Hedges? Where are those speed signs that light up like the ones at Pentlepoir? Where are the speed cameras?

Does some family actually have to mourn the death of their young daughter or son, killed by some stupid maniac, before something is done. The 'summer' is coming, there are lots of people walking about, it is a busy area around the Londis shop, with lots of traffic coming from both Saundersfoot and Tenby. Why can't there be a 20 mph speed limit through this busy built-up residential area?

Let me also complain about the speed of some vehicles along the bypass. Some motorcycles sound like they are going more than a 100 mph; that goes for some cars too.
