Sir, In the February 10 issue of the Observer you reported from the Narberth council meeting that a compromise had been made on planning for Queens Court. It was stated that Clr. W. Evans had said that a compromise of three shops and six flats had been reached. Firstly, I would like to point out that the original planning was for two shops, not four, as stated in the report. Secondly, the residents of Queens Court were unaware of any compromise, as no new plans had been submitted to the county council planning office, nor had the residents been informed by our county councillor. This so-called compromise, which is not representative of the view of the electorate, could jeopardise the notion of impartiality on his behalf. The proposed plans are no better than the plans that were rejected by planning in November 2005.
Julia Sturgess, Narberth.
