A questionmark hangs over the future of the Oriel Q art gallery at the Queens Hall in Narberth.
The internationally renowned gallery which is been a beacon for the visual arts in South Pembrokeshire for the last 20 years, has been unsuccessful in its funding bid to the Arts Council.
Two part-time employees are losing their jobs.
However, supporters of the gallery are determined that it will continue in some form and are looking for alternative funding.
An open meeting is being held in the gallery on Saturday, January 12, 2019, with the title ‘Is there a future?’.
Gallery manager Lynne Crompton, who built the gallery up from scratch, said: “We are looking to the future – ideas about how we can move forward will be much appreciated.”
An exhibition of Bernard Mitchel’s photography profiling artists in Wales will continue as planned next month and there are also plans for future workshops.
The meeting to discuss the gallery’s future will be held at 2 pm in the gallery on Saturday, January 12.
