MENCAP held their 80th Anniversary Garden Party on June 14 at Stackpole Walled Gardens, near Pembroke, to celebrate eight decades of support for people with learning disabilities and their families.

Attending the event close to where she lives, Claire Archibald MS commented: “As a former carer, I know how important services like these are. The support they provide reaches far beyond the individual, giving reassurance, guidance and much-needed help to families and carers as well.

“A huge thank you to all the staff and volunteers who give their time, energy and compassion to support others. Your work makes a real difference to people's lives every day.”
