PAULINE Edwards, a Senior Nursing Assistant with the Paul Sartori Foundation, has completed her epic Pembrokeshire Coast Path challenge, finishing at its northern point in St Dogmaels.

Finishing on a scorching Bank Holiday Monday, May 25, means Pauline covered 186 miles of coast path in just two weeks, walking and running her way along one of the most breathtaking, and demanding, coastlines in the UK. What an achievement!

For her final stretch, Pauline travelled from Newport to Moylegrove and along Cemaes Head, finishing at the stunning Poppit Sands, right on the border with Ceredigion. The sun shone brightly on the local charity’s fundraising star as she crossed the finish line, a truly fitting end to an extraordinary journey.

Sadly, it was a little too hot for her loyal companions, Poppet and Reno, to join her on this last leg, but they were no doubt cheering her on from afar!

Pauline undertook the challenge to support the ‘Drive Care Forward for Paul Sartori’ appeal. This is a community campaign to raise £40,000 to replace the charity's Equipment Loan Van - which helps them continue delivering vital equipment to people across Pembrokeshire at end-of-life - with a replacement Equipment Loan Van.

From hospital beds and mobility aids to drinking cups, the free equipment the charity delivers directly to patients and families every day helps people remain at home with their loved ones during end-of-life care.

They urgently need support to continue this service.

You can help by donating to my fundraiser, or by hosting your own event, fundraising at work, or spreading the word. So far, Pauline has raised £860, and her JustGiving page is still open at www.justgiving.com/page/pauline-edwards-2 .

A spokesperson for Paul Sartori said: “We are beyond proud of Pauline, not only for taking on this incredible personal challenge, but for everything she and the rest of our amazing nursing staff do every day to care for people across Pembrokeshire at the end of their lives.

“You are an absolute star, Pauline, and we are so grateful for you!”
