Narberth Carnival and the town’s Civic Week delivered a joyous occasion once again for the community.

Civic Week chair, Chris Walters said: “Firstly, I just want to say a huge thank you to every single person who came out to support our Carnival [held on Saturday, July 25].

“Whether you were taking part in the parade, cheering from the roadside, visiting the field, enjoying the live music or simply soaking up the atmosphere around town - thank you.

“Seeing Narberth absolutely buzzing with people enjoying themselves is exactly why we all volunteer our time. The carnival was everything we could have hoped for.

“The weather behaved itself - which in Wales is basically classed as a miracle! The crowds were fantastic and the atmosphere throughout the whole town was incredible.”

Chris also gave a heartfelt thanks to his fellow Civic Week committee members.

“Every single one of you gives your time freely because you genuinely care about Narberth,” he continued.

“I’d like to finish by thanking the hundreds of people who make Narberth Civic Week what it is. Civic Week does bring hundreds maybe thousands of people into Narberth. It showcases our town, our independent businesses and our amazing community.”
