MANORBIER & District Gardening Club will explore the history and uses of herbs with Dinah Thompson at the Giraldus Centre, Manorbier, on Wednesday, June 17.
The meeting starts at 7.30pm and there will be the usual raffle and refreshments, along with the ‘Jobs for the Month’ board and a plant, seeds and magazine table.
Everyone from near or far and any age is very welcome at these meetings, which see a friendly group of garden and wildlife enthusiasts swap tips on gardening. Visitors are asked to pay a small admission fee of £3. There is always something new to learn about plants and vegetable growing!
Several members are looking forward to their gardens being included in the Manorbier Village Open Gardens weekend on Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14, a fundraising event in aid of St James the Great Church, Manorbier.
Tickets for Manorbier Village Open Gardens are £6, covering both days, and are available at local garden centres, Manorbier Castle and at the Reading Room on the day.
There will be over 20 gardens to visit, with a variety of interesting plants and designs in all shapes and sizes.
