THE next Manorbier & District Gardening Club meeting will be on Wednesday, June 18, with Liz and Paul O’Neil’s illustrated talk ‘The last cow - making Llwyngarreg’.

Liz and Paul will describe the 25 year development of their garden, which they open for the National Garden Scheme at the meeting, which starts at 7.30pm.

There will be the usual raffle and refreshments, along with the Jobs for the Month board and a plant, seeds and magazine table.

Visitors from near or far and any age are all very welcome at these meetings, where a friendly group of garden and wildlife enthusiasts swap tips and advice on gardening - there is always something new to learn. Visitors are asked to pay a small admission fee of £3.

In May, attendees were delighted to welcome some prickly little friends from the Pembrokeshire Hogspital run by Ginny, who rescues and rehabilitates sick and injured hedgehogs. Ginny gave a fascinating talk on how to help protect hedgehogs in gardens and offered the opportunity to experience these delightful animals close up.
