ST FLORENTIUS Church, St Florence, and St James Church, Manorbier, have issued a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the fête at Manorbier Castle on Saturday, August 22 such a success.

There was live music, traditional games, a bar, tombola, barbecue, Welshcakes and stalls - even donkey rides!

One of the fete’s many attractions was that many people of all ages had a go at bell-ringing on the mini-ring, courtesy of St Davids Diocesan Guild of Bellringers.

Rev’d Martine Johnson enthused: “We had it all: fun and games, wonderful food, stalls, fantastic entertainment and, of course, glorious sunshine!

“A very special thank you to Alli, Richard, Alan and Chris, who led the team and worked so hard to make the day such a success. Your time, energy and organisation were hugely appreciated.

“And of course, a big thank you to The Slipway Ukes and Cockles and Mussels for providing such brilliant entertainment, and to Katie for allowing us to use the wonderful castle.

“It really was a fabulous day, and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of you. Thank you!”
