LOCAL MP Henry Tufnell was recently introduced to Stephanie Davies, Manager of the Waldo Lounge in Haverfordwest, who has truly embraced her role in the community of Haverfordwest.

The Member of Parliament for Mid and South Pembrokeshire, who serves on the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee, was introduced to Stephanie by Castle Ward County Councillor Thomas Tudor.

Charities who have benefited from Steph’s work, running many exciting initiatives from the Waldo Lounge, include The VC Gallery, TY Hafan, and Adam's Bucketful of Hope Cancer Support Centre.

Events this month have included a duck race, sports quiz, mad hatters tea party for little loungers, bake sale, and a drag night show, raising a staggering £2,637 for the VC Gallery.

And it doesn’t stop there, this week there is Rock’ n Roll Bingo (Thursday June 25, 7pm) and a Wild West Country and Western Night on Saturday with a rodeo bull (starting at 6pm).

Steph’s June ambition: “Let’s get to 3k!”

The VC Gallery has branches in Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock. It is a unique local charity for veterans and the community, supporting them through arts and many different creative engagements mixed with mental health support and counselling services.

The charity has reacted to the fundraising efforts so far with enthusiasm:

“Steph and her amazing team at the Waldo Lounge Haverfordwest keep on smashing it out the park for our community.

“Another brilliant fundraiser for the VC Gallery at Waldo’s, with the staff working hard and kind donations to our work throughout Pembrokeshire.

“Many thanks to Mayor Thomas-Turner and Josh for supporting us. Haverfordwest Town Council are getting involved in their community and supporting the town and its residents.”

The Waldo Lounge is part of the Loungers group, also running the Lansio Lounge in Tenby and Cofio Lounge in Carmarthen.
