Carew WI enjoyed Frank’s Tai Chi and Qigong in their October meeting.
Luckily, members had conducted their business meeting before Frank’s arrival. The hour spent with him was so engaging, relaxing, holistic and bonding that it’s doubtful whether members would have been able to concentrate afterwards! Nor would they have been able to leave behind such positive energy for those using the hall next.
Everyone joined in and Frank ensured that it was inclusive and relevant to all members. It was wonderful and the taster session left everyone wanting more.
Frank’s outline of the origins of Qigong and Tai Chi led to on learning the key movements, breathing at the right time and smiling at each other - becoming tigers and monkeys.
In common with the other members, Ruth was so engrossed and engaged that she forgot to take any pictures to go with this article!
“Certainly, the hot topics of the meeting, such as the imminent closure of the toilets in Carew and preparations for the AGM’s and the rest of the necessary business faded away as we relaxed into learning this wonderful, gentle Chinese exercise, helping us with our coordination, breathing and internal strength.
“Thank you, Frank! You have opened our eyes to the benefits of Qigong and Tai Chi.”
