Once again a wide variety of activities helped make up an enjoyable programme for the annual Whitland Week.
Residents entered into the true spirit of the week, with the events attracting a good turnout of entries and supporters.
As always the carnival was a highly colourful affair and helped bring the curtain down on a memorable seven days in the Whitland community.
BABY SHOW

CREAM TEAS
The Cream Teas event raised the excellent sum of £314.
A raffle was held in conjunction with the event, with prizes donated by various staff and suppliers.

Family night
There was a very good turnout for the Family Night at the Fishers, which raised £300.
The whist drive, meanwhile, raised £130, with winners being: top score - Margaret James; 1st lady - Dilys Richards; 2nd lady - Mary Lee; 3rd lady - Amy Redd; 1st gent - Mary Thomas; 2nd gent - J. L. Jones; 3rd gent - Dewi Evans.
Raffle prizes were donated by various businesses and whist organisers, while main sponsors were J. J. Morris and Mrs. Monty.
The karaoke night raised £90, the target bowls £70 approx, the barbecue £50 and the raffle £65. Winners of target bowls were: member - Christopher Court; non member - Meurig Evans; junior under 14 - Adam Powell.
On Tuesday, the coffee morning raised £57.50, while winners of the pool competitions were: Juniors over 12s (Station House) - Stuart Davies, runner-up - Shane Webster; under 12s - Jake Stevens, runner-up - Daniel Powell.
The adult pool competition raised £140 in entry fees and £100 from the raffle.
Winners were the TA Ra Boys; runners-up - Taf. Raffle winners: Meal from Indian takeaway - H. B. R.; meat voucher (AFC) - Ray Spencer; bottle of wine (WDSSC) - Mark George.
The fancy dress and children's disco raised £68. Overall winner was Catrin Harries, while best boy was Nathan Bowen.
On Wednesday, a 'kids treasurer hunt' was held. This was a free day for the children a produced a very good turnout.
