Enterprising students at Pembrokeshire College have boosted the appeal to launch a new Tamar class RNLI lifeboat for Angle.
The students - headed by a management team of Emily Winterford (managing director), David John (admin), Melissa Baker (ops), Amy Ryan (sales and marketing) and Chris Davies (finance) - organised a three-day Christmas fair at the college.
And the proceeds of £772 were recently presented to a member of Angle lifeboat crew, Sarah Lunn, a student at the college.
Sarah was accompanied by her father, Mervyn, a member of the lifeboat crew, and Mrs. Rosie Allen- Mirehouse, deputy launch authority at Angle.
The 23 students who organised the fair, with support from Snowdrop Bakery, Haverfordwest, and Caddies Cafe, Freystrop, were joined at the presentation by college principal Glyn Jones and enterprise co-ordinator Karen Neville.
• Work is to start soon on adapting the Angle lifeboathouse to accommodate the new £2.5 million Tamar lifeboat, which is expected to go into service there later in the year.
