Good news travels fast around our part of Pembrokeshire and the Friends of South Pembs. Hospital can report yet another extremely successful coffee morning and table-top sale last Tuesday. There was certainly no reason for calling the 13th an unlucky number when Pembroke Town Hall bustled with people at the monthly event.

The Friends wish to thank the many customers who helped to boost the funds, raising money for a variety of benefits for patients, both day care and hospitalised. Every penny received goes towards these benefits, many of which can be seen on the display board.

Stallholders pay £5 for a table and provide an ever-growing choice of goods on offer. There are some bargains to be had on the bric-a-brac tables, nutritional advice from a health care professional, while the lovely hand-crafted items, including woodwork, greetings cards, many styles of jewellery, trinkets, home-made cakes, preserves and confectionery gave everyone a chance to buy Christmas gifts with a personal touch.

The next event will be a Christmas coffee morning and table-top sale, to be held on Tuesday, December 18, and promises to be even better, with many more traders already booking their places. At this event, the draw of the grand raffle will also take place and the finish time has been extended to 2 pm to give everyone a chance to pop in. To be sure of a table, please contact Lynne on 01646 684513.

Please go along on the 18th and help support South Pembs., your local hospital. We are very lucky to have it still, as anyone who has needed it will know.
