The South Pembrokeshire Travel Fund for Sick Children has received a New Year boost thanks to Tenby Coastguard. The excellent sum of £700 was raised for the fund through a raffle/auction held at the unit's charity Christmas dinner, held at Heywood Mount Hotel. Among the guests at the event were friends from Tenby RNLI, Tenby Ambulance, Llanstephan Coastguard, local business and professional personnel and the town's Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane. Members of Tenby Coastguard unit and the South Pembs. sector manager, Dave Miller, would like to thank local businesses who provided such excellent prizes for the night. They were: Waterloo House, Rowe's Butchers, Folly Farm, T. P. Hughes, Clarice Toys, Boston House, Hillings, Dales, Pet Care, Somerfield, South Parade Newsagents, Tenby DIY, Four Seasons Fruit, Four Seasons Florist, Rembrandts, New Hedges Mini Market, Tenby Cinema, Heatherton, Tenby Leisure Centre, Jago, Boots, County Clothes, Thorntons, Walk on Water, Underground Surf Shop, Tenby Autos, Heywood Mount Hotel, Tenby House Hotel, The Sun Inn, The Buccaneer, Hope and Anchor, Three Mariners, Prince of Wales, The Normandie and The Lamb. "The donations made our evening an excellent event, with a worthwhile charity gaining from the kindness of everyone involved," said coastguard team member, Andrew Hodgson. And there was more good news for the charity when Mr. Steve Williams, manager of Tenby's Royal Playhouse Cinema, made a separate donation of £100.
