Following the closure of the Lloyds Bank branch in Tenby, the group have indicated that a new fleet of mobile branches will see the resort covered for its customers.

The mobile branches will stop in Tenby for two to four hours per visit, with final timetables to be developed locally, members of Tenby Town Council were informed at their meeting on Tuesday night, through correspondence from Lloyds public affairs manager, Matthew Harris.

“Personal customers will be able to use this mobile branch to make deposits, withdraw cash and pay bills,” he explained.

“Staff in the mobile branch will also help customers to use online banking and to make general account or product enquiries. Business customers will also have access to basic services such as making deposits and withdrawing,” added Mr. Harris.

The mobile branch will also have full disabled access, including a disabled lift allowing wheelchair access, and a hearing loop installed as well.

The town clerk told members that Natwest were situating a similar mobile service down at the Butts Field car park.

“What’s the point of having it down there, customers want to come to the town centre, they may as well have it on the Preseli Mountains!” said Clr. Trevor Hallett.
