LAST (Thursday) night saw Span Arts launch a new series of evening performances devoted to live classical music, a social atmosphere and great food, at Narberth's elegant hotel, Plas Hyfryd.
The first event featured Cardiff's Welsh Symphonic Brass Ensemble and was one of three, with the follow-up evening bringing Trystan Llyr Griffiths to Narberth on Thursday, April 3, and the concluding part will feature Luke Millard on Thursday, May 1.
Trystan Llyr is a classical tenor, with his performance including music from Mozart's The Magic Flute and Cosi Fan Tutte, Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore and Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress. He was recently named the 'Voice of Wales' by Decca Records out of over 600 singers in a series televised by S4C.
The final evening features a performance of lyricism, classicism and colour with award-winning cellist Luke Millard playing works by Sergei Rachmaninov, Max Bruch, Johannes Brahms, Manuel De Falla and Joseph Haydn. Luke will be accompanied by pianist Conal Bembridge-Sayers.
Why not go along and enjoy an informal and fun evening, with delicious food, wonderful music and a bar open 'til late.
Tickets are available now from the Span Arts box office at span-arts.org.uk or you can ring on 01834869323. Booking is essential for food from 6 pm onwards and the music starts at 7.30 pm.
