Tenby welcomed a procession of classic cars on Sunday as the Swansea Historic Vehicle Register commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Welsh Automobile Club's 110-mile non-stop run from the Tenby Hotel in Swansea to Tenby and back.

A century on from the event on July 4, 1906, 32 cars were flagged off from the Tenby Hotel at two- minute intervals, with the first cars reaching the Atlantic Hotel, Tenby, shortly after 12 noon. The slower cars finally arrived at about 1 pm. The cars formed a very impressive line-up on The Esplanade, with many admiring glances from the passers-by.

Coffee and biscuits were duly served in The Atlantic, and Mr. Mike Evans, the run organiser, thanked everybody for taking part.
