Two members of the society's executive committee, Harry Gardiner and Neil Westerman, cleared around the memorial of the gentleman artist Charles Norris.
Located below the cemetery chapel, his grave was cleared of ivy and plants, as were the access steps.
Norris arrived in Tenby aboard his yacht Nautilus in 1805 and lived initially at Bridge Street, before building his house at Waterwynch.
Norris left an important legacy in the form of his topographic views of Tenby and neighbourhood that accurately depict the town before the invention of photography.
Tenby Museum held a major exhibition of over 80 of his watercolours and etchings between March 1997 and March 1998.
Members of Tenby Civic Society had an opportunity to see many of the Norris legacy of watercolours, drawings and etchings normally held in store by Tenby Museum and Art Gallery at a special evening event arranged there by the society last Wednesday.
The society would like to extend a welcome to members of Tenby Historical Society and the Friends of Tenby Museum and Art Gallery and others who would like to see a much wider collection of Norris's work than can normally be on display.
This event is free, but of course donations to the museum's funds would be most welcome.
