"It was encouraging to see so many turning out for this service of quiet and reflection last week," Rob James said.
"We are always conscious of those who will feel the pain of loss very acutely at Christmas time. It is always a privilege to serve those who have been bereaved and this service allowed us a chance to pray with and for them. I would guess that this was the best attended service so far and certainly the most blessed. Everyone seems to have gone home with a fresh sense of peace knowing that the message of Christmas is as real today as it ever was.
"The word Immanuel is not heard on many people's lips, but everyone needs to know what it means: God is with us. All it takes is trust and the more we trust Him the easier it gets.
"If anyone would appreciate a visit or simply wants us to pray for them, then all they need do is contact me via the church email or telephone 07870 475773," Rob continued.
"We want to do all we can to imitate the Jesus who went around doing good. It's not rocket science, it's what we were created for."
