Tenby's De Valence Arts Centre is hosting a series of festive events in the lead up to Christmas. Darren Knipe, director of the De Valence, said: "We are a new team here and I am really pleased that we've been able to programme a range of events for all the family. "We are totally committed to creating an arts centre that caters for all interest groups and our family audience is key to the work we will be doing here." The first event on the Christmas calendar at the Upper Frog Street venue is a visit from Father Christmas next Tuesday and Wednesday, between 11 am and 3 pm, and Thursday from 11 am to 1.30 pm. "Kids under the age of eight will get a chance to meet Father Christmas and get a present. They can also write a letter and post it in his special post box," said Darren. Other events include a grand prize Christmas bingo night on Tuesday at 7 pm, with all proceeds going to Wales Air Ambulance, while on Wednesday, there will be a Christmas family night. The event kicks-off at 6 pm with a tea party with Father Christmas, followed by a festive party night for all the family. Entry is just £1 or £2.50 with meal. The Christmas events come to a festive finale with a special visit to Tenby from 'Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs' on Thursday, with shows at 2.30 pm and 7 pm. "The show was a sellout at the Queen's Hall, Narberth, and it's the perfect show to bring all the family to, the day before Christmas Eve," added Darren.
