On Sunday, the Rabbits played the second of this season's main individual competitions, The John Cook Classic. A field of 17 competitors eagerly set out on a glorious morning. As usual, the final results were typical of the Rabbits, with a wide range of stableford points scored.

Past captain Chris Smith seems to be going from strength to strength, without the burden of captaincy, and a magnificent performance saw him win the trophy with a score of 40 points, resulting in a handicap cut of two shots.

This means that Chris is still on course for a Grand Slam of 'Majors' this year, with only the Gwyn Tibbs and B & H Trophies left. Will he need a new trophy cabinet?

Second place went to Paul Davies with an excellent 37 points and a handicap cut of one shot. There were three tied on 35 points for third place, with Gerald Hewitt taking it on the back nine.

Many thanks to John Cook for presenting the trophy and providing a first prize for the raffle.

Next fixtures are a home league match against Haverfordwest on July 5 and an away league fixture against Glynhir on July 26.
