Friday morning's miserable weather rather decimated the Chicken Trotters, with only three brave members of the brood leaving the hutch.
Admittedly, two others did venture out on the course for a time, but eventually decided that the warmth of the snooker room was more inviting than getting their feathers wet.
Nevertheless, the other trio battled on gamely and at the end of the day, two of them perhaps had more reason to smile than the third member of this hardy three-ball.
For winner was David Lamb, whose 22 points earned him the princely sum of 60p, while also in the money was Richard Morgan, who had his 30p entry fee returned after bagging the booby with 10 points.
The odd one out - Malcolm Arlott, who was runner-up, but missed out on the cash as there was no prize for second spot. Still, on reflection, perhaps he should be grateful, for when you look at it another way, he was also only one place away from booby position!
Hopefully the weather will improve and there will be more Chickens strutting their stuff this (Friday) morning.
