With work underway for the 'rebuild' of the Jubilee Play Park in Tenby, fundraisers for the project received a financial boost recently.

Friends of the Jubilee Park received a £5,000 donation from the Dyfed Powys Police 'Incentivisation Scheme Fund' which was presented to them by local PCSO Idwal David.

"We're very grateful to Dyfed Powys Police for this contribution, the money will be specifically used to purchase equipment for the play park," said the Friends of the Jubilee Park secretary Andrew Davies.

Meanwhile, at Tuesday night's meting of Tenby Town Council, Clr. Mike Evans told his colleagues that he had looked into costings to consider the removal of one of the concrete shelters at the play park, to be replaced by a new and improved one that would fit in better with the redevelopment.

"It's an opportunity to improve the shelter provision as part of the improvements that have already begun at the play park," he explained, with his fellow members agreeing.
