Pam Maggs and Beth McBurnie from the centre were on hand this week to present Sarah Rigby of the kindergarten with a cheque for £113.50, which was given as a result of voluntary donations and sale of play equipment, following the closure of the centre in January after 16 years.
The centre is sure to be sadly missed, both in Tenby and much further afield, and also by the many holidaymakers who visited.
The money donated to Y Nyth will be used to buy a grain mill so that the children can become further involved in the baking process, as they enjoy making bread daily, along with other creative activities such as painting, crafts, gardening and lots of play.
Any remaining money will be used to buy equipment for the toddler group, which is held on Thursday afternoons between 1.30 to 3.30 pm.
There will be an open day held at the kindergarten on Saturday, March 14, between 10 am and 3 pm, with everyone welcome to go along, view the kindergarten and meet the staff.
There will be children's activities running at various times during the day, and free refreshments will be available.
For further information, please call Sarah on 01834 871003.
