An annual pumpkin competition involving three South Pembrokeshire inns - the Highgate, Hundleton, the Hibernia, Angle, and the St. Govans, Bosherston, has raised over £181 for Angle lifeboat. And last Wednesday, the landlords and customers of the pubs, together with lifeboat crew members, attended a presentation evening, kindly hosted by the landlord and landlady of the Hibernia Inn, Mervyn and Kath Lunn. Also present was the landlord of the Speculation Inn (near Hundleton), which is joining the competition this year.

Angle Lifeboat coxswain Jerry Rees is seen receiving the cheque for £181.70 from the landlord of the Highgate Inn, Andrew Lewis, in the presence of the other landlords, customers and lifeboat crew members.
