To celebrate 100 years of Scouting, the Pembrokeshire Scout Association has organised a special music event to take place next month.
As part of their centenary year celebrations, several successful events have already been held across the county, and now to complete the celebrations in 2007, 'Showtime', an evening of first class entertainment, will take place at Folly Farm on Saturday, November 17.
The evening will include performances by - Tenby Male Choir; Pennar Junior School Choir; The 'Unison' Dance Troop; soloists - Cheri Morgan, Jodie Warlow, Kate Morgan and Maudie Hughes; with a grand finale featuring a parade of Scout flags and traditional songs.
The money raised from ticket sales will be donated to three local charities as a way of giving something back to the community - a very important part of the Scout promise 'To Help Other People'.
The charities to benefit from the show will be The Paul Sartori Foundation; The Sandy Bear Appeal; and Pembrokeshire Cancer Support Group.
Tickets for the show are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children/senior citizens, and are available from the following - Perfect PCS, Pembroke Dock (01646 686733); The Sheep Shop, Haverfordwest (01437 766844); Sharon Donohoe (0646 687591); Margraet Brown (01646 682698); Pat Parkhurst (01834 871260).
The event begins at 7 pm, with doors open at 6 pm.
