Sir, Our annual charity event was held last Wednesday at Tenby House Hotel in memory of Griff. We did not have fireworks this year because of the uncertainty with the weather, but we were fortunate to have a dry day for the event. We have instead given the money we would have spent on fireworks to Ward 10. The children were kept entertained, all went home with at least one prize, and the main raffle had many prizes, most of which had been donated by local businesses and attractions. It is always difficult to write something fresh when we and others stage charity events every year. The main aim always is to raise funds - and we are all aware how difficult it is to continually increase the amount raised previously. However, without the generous support of the local community with their donations of prizes, and food suppliers providing for the barbecue, and of course all of you who attend, we would not be able to keep sending money to Ward 10. I know how much Ward 10 appreciates all the donations from the local community, as do the patients and their families. I thank you for your continued support, as I know will everyone who has a connection with Ward 10.
Lesley, Kelly and Martyn Fisher,
Tenby House Hotel.
