Members of Pembroke Round Table and Ladies Circle recently held a joint charity jazz night at Pembroke Town Hall. The £700 raised was topped up by Pembroke Round Table and given to the Harry Bonning Fund. Harry is a young boy who is in need of a new specialist lightweight wheelchair. Special thanks go to Mr. Tim Bourne and the award-winning Pembrokeshire Schools Jazz Bands for providing the music. Everyone agreed that it was a truly superb performance, easily surpassing the most professional commercial jazz ensembles. By way of thanks, Mr. Trevor Collins, chairman of Pembroke Round Table and MC for the night, presented them with a donation on behalf of the Round Table and Ladies Circle. Texaco Refinery sponsored the event with a very generous donation, which Pembroke Round Table and Ladies Circle were grateful for. The buffet was kindly sponsored by Upton Farm Frozen Foods, while all the printing and the DVD raffle prize were donated by Modern Print, printing and office stationery supplies.
