West Wales Rock 'n' Rollers have really got into the charity mood this year with several large donations to local and national charities.
At their dance last month, a donation of £440 was made to Breast Cancer Care, and tonight (Friday), at Whitland Dairy Club ,The Paul Sartori Foundation will benefit to the tune of £600.
Organiser Teri Stockton said: "We can guarantee that whenever we hold a dance for any named charity that the jivers will turn out in force to support it. They always give generously and when this is coupled with bands giving their time freely it means we can give the maximum amount to good causes."
The dance tonight is a social jive night and is an opportunity for anybody to come along and meet up with fans of the music of the 1950s. Some people wear the clothes of the period and others just wear smart casual. The ages range from the very young to some of our more senior members - who were around when Bill Haley and the like burst onto the music scene in the mid-50s.
The club is very friendly and welcoming. Don't worry if you can't dance - somebody will teach you if you want to learn.
Tonight's dance at Whitland Dairy Club starts at 8 pm and is just £5 admission.
