A Tenby man appeared before a judge on Tuesday to admit a charge of sexually assaulting another man.
Peter Brown, aged 62, of Hazelmere, Warren Street, had been due to stand trial at Swansea Crown Court accused of assaulting two different men.
But as the trial was about to start, Brown changed his plea to guilty to one of the allegations.
Huw Rees, prosecuting, said the Crown Prosecution Service would not press for a trial on the outstanding charge.
Judge Peter Heywood agreed to a defence request to postpone sentencing until a probation officer had prepared a report into Brown's background.
Brown is expected to be sentenced in early May and was granted bail until then.
