All usual collections will be delayed by one day from Monday, August 25 - for the week.
A spokesperson for Carmarthenshire Council said: “Please put out your rubbish by 6am on the revised collection day. Hygiene and garden waste collections will also follow the revised schedule. Please recycle as much as possible and remember the three black bag limit.
“Although we aim to collect as scheduled, there may be localised disruptions that could change at short notice. To help avoid collection disruptions and ensure the safety of everyone in our community, please park responsibly to ensure waste collection vehicles can pass safely.”
Cabinet Member for Waste, Transport, and Infrastructure Services, Cllr Edward Thomas, said:“Our teams are focused on delivering a reliable waste collection service for residents over the Summer Bank Holiday. While we recognise that holiday periods can bring added pressures, we’ve taken steps to support our crews, including bringing in additional staff. Building on recent successes, we’re working to ensure collections run as smoothly as possible.
“I’d like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and commitment and also thank residents for their continued patience and cooperation during this time.”
Please keep an eye on the council’s waste disruptions page for any updates.
The recycling centres in Trostre, Nantycaws, Wernddu, and Whitland will be open as usual over the Bank Holiday weekend. You can check their opening times here.
