Town councillors could be looking at a change of venue for discussions, if the heating problems at the Mayor's Parlour are not fixed ahead of their next scheduled meeting.
Members complained at the last meeting that they had been without heat for far too long and wondered when the De Valence Trust was going to find a solution.
Addressing members at Tuesday night's meeting, the town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, said he had contacted the Trust's director, Mr. Mike Neil, who informed him that the Trust was concerned that there was adequate heating provided for its tenants.
Mr. Neil explained that they had encountered problems sourcing parts for the boiler system at the Mayor's Parlour.
The town clerk confirmed, though, that the heating was now fully back to working order in the council's offices.
Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas suggested that the next meeting should be held at Tenby's Augustus Place Community Centre should the heating not be restored.
Members agreed and the town clerk said that he would contact Mr. Neil again over the matter to see if there was a timescale over when the boiler would be fixed.
A letter had also been sent to the council on the matter by a Mr. Williams, of Whitlow, Saundersfoot, who had read about the heating problems the council had encountered in a recent edition of the Observer.
Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter offered her thanks to Mr. Williams over his concern, but said the council would not be moving to new premises in the long run and assured him that there was no ulterior motive to their complaints over the heating issue.
