It ranks alongside Mount Kilimanjaro and the Inca Trail as among the top 10 hiking routes in the world.

And now is your chance to take a walk on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail, guided by experts who know the 186-mile route like the back of their hand.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is inviting people to join its annual Coast Path Walk, a 14-day series of led walks taking in the entire National Trail, from Amroth in the south to St. Dogmaels in the north.

The guided walk, from Saturday, June 2, to Friday, June 15, has only 21 places available, so booking is essential.

Walk Leader and National Park voluntary warden Derek Rowland, said: "This walk is a marvellous way of seeing this wonderful coastline. The flowers are fantastic in June and the changing geology of the coastline along the walk never fails to fascinate me. I'd recommend it to anyone."

Walkers arrange their own accommodation and each day starts at a meeting point where a coach takes participants to the starting point. A reasonable level of fitness and some experience of walking in the countryside is helpful.

The event costs £235 per person, including a deposit of £100. To find out more or to book a place, contact Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority on 0845 345 7275 or email [email protected]">[email protected].
