Former athlete and presenter Colin Jackson and his actress sister Suzanne Packer visited Caldey Island this week, helping at feeding time for the island’s red squirrels.

Born and raised in Cardiff, Colin represented Great Britain and Wales at sprint and hurdles, winning a Silver Olympic medal, and many gold medals in the European, Commonwealth and World championships before his last professional appearance in 2003. Colin is now a presenter for the BBC.

He also fronts Sport4Kids, inspiring young people to get involved in sport, and has set up a charitable foundation, Go Dad Run, helping raise awareness of men’s health issues, especially prostate cancer.

Suzanne has had a long and successful acting career, and starred for many years in the hospital drama Casualty.

She can currently be seen every Tuesday night as Delyth Lloyd in the BBC production Keeping Faith.

Colin and Suzanne enjoyed the boat trip and walking around the island, appreciating especially the beautiful views of Tenby and the wildlife that can be seen in its natural habitat.
