Last week, the ceramics class at Robeston Wathen celebrated the end of their second OCN course with an exhibition of their work and a coffee morning with delicious mince pies made by one of the learners - Sylvia Smith. The event provided the opportunity for the PET Project team from Pembrokeshire College to visit and see the work completed since courses began in April. Janet Davies, PET Project officer; Emma James, adult guidance mentor; and Alannah Simmons, project administrator, met the learners and enjoyed hearing about their learning experiences and how those attending had benefited from the course, delivered within the heart of the community. "Jackie Rodea, the ceramics tutor for the PET Project, encouraged the group to experiment with clay, "said Janet Davies. "This was very evident in the individual vases, plaques and dishes being displayed." Free courses offered by the PET Project are funded by the European Social Fund under Objective One. A new ceramics course will commence at Robeston Wathen on Tuesday, January 15, and anyone interested in joining the course should contact Marian Graceson on 01834 860 590.

Pictured at the PET Project ceramics class exhibition are: Valerie Randall, Jackie Rodea (course tutor), Malcolm Cleaver, Jenny Cleaver, Sylvia Smith, Albert Smith and Marian Graceson. Unable to attend were Mary Moncrieff and Rex Randall.
