Sir,
May I through your letters page please ask the person who mowed part of Templeton URC cemetery and left the grass cuttings there, to not do so again. Three members (two of whom are octogenarians) and I have just spent the last two hours raking up this terrible mess.
We as members struggle to pay for the upkeep of the cemetery, but with the financial help of friends of the chapel, we do the best that we can. It has also been a very difficult year for the contractor to mow as often as he would like because of the weather. However, he did mow on September 1.
This kind person decided to mow it again on September 4 or 5, and then left the cuttings there; we had to rake this up because it was killing the grass underneath it.
If the said person is so interested in the upkeep of the chapel and cemetery, we would be delighted for them to join us at any of our services; we are very few and their help would be greatly appreciated.
Meirion Morse
(Secretary Templeton URC),
Ogmore House,
Templeton.
